Zoe-perry

Perry was born to actor Laurie Metcalf, and Jeff Perry. In the ABC sitcom Roseanne (as seen by flashback), her mother played Jackie Harris in two of Perry's first TV roles. Perry was forbidden to begin acting by her parents until she reached an adulthood stage, because they were concerned about the stress it would create. Perry she was timid to perform in the high school, started to act in the theater at Northwestern University because she wanted to make new friends. Perry managed to get small TV roles in Law & Order: Criminal Intent after she graduated. Homesickness, however, brought her back to California and she returned performing in the stage. She and her mother starred on Broadway as a couple in The Other Place, in 2013. The show was directed by Eugene O'Neill. Pulitzer Prize winner Anna Christie as well as Kevin McKidd. This was performed in the West Los Angeles' Odyssey Theatre Ensemble. Perry appeared in nine episodes of the ABC drama The Family in 2016. In 2017, Perry starred in an appearance on ABC's political thriller Scandal alongside her father. In the same year, she was cast as the younger version of Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) in Young Sheldon, a spin-off of the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory again playing a young version of her mother's character. The role was given an audition to the actress, even though she has a family tie with the character.
